Usage Precautions

[When using with a vibration tool (electrical, ultrasonic, or air) ]

  • Read the instruction manual of your vibration tool carefully .
[When using with an ultrasonic tool]
  • Check the appropriate output. The tool may break or generate heat when output is too large.
  • Check the appropriate length. If the length is inappropriate , the tool may not oscillate, or concentrated output may result in heat generation.
  • Clamp securely.  Poor clamping may concentrate output, resulting in excessive heat generation.
  • Polishing performance may vary depending on the structure and method of the clamp in use. Read the instruction manual of your ultrasonic tool carefully.
[When using the rod type with a hand grinder]
  • Use below the maximum 30,000rpm.
  • Use below 50mm full length. (If full length is more than 50mm, make sure to cut it below 50mm) Use above the maximum rpm or over 50mm full length may result in dangerous breakage of the tool.
[Method and precaution for forming, dressing, cutting]
  • How to form
Form the shapes using an electrodeposited diamond stone (handy type, grinder type etc.)
*If using files or abrasive, or when forming with excessive force, a layer of alumina fiber may peel off or crack. Broken alumina fiber may stick on skin. If this would occur, stop the processing immediately, use a tool after removing the portion peeled off or cracked.
  • How to cut
Make a cut from both side by electrodeposited diamond stone (handy type, grinder type) and then cut.
*If a tool will be cut with small crack, the layer of alumina fiber may peel off or crack. Broken alumina fiber may stick on skin. If this would occur, stop the processing immediately, use a tool after removing the portion peeled off or cracked.
[Others]
  • Always wear protective goggles, gloves, and masks when operating the tool.
