Centrifugal force offsets wear on the brush tip and provides consistently stable deburring performance to the very end.
Can be used continuously even after deburring 4,500 holes simply by increasing RPM.
Due to fiber wear during deburring, the burr removal performance gradually declines. After deburring 600 holes, the performance is no longer effective. Due to the loss of abrasive grains in the deburring process, the performance gradually declines. After deburring 300 holes, many burrs remain, and there is no more deburring action after 1,400 holes.

  • STEP1. Insert the tool while not in motion.
  • STEP2. Rotate the tool past the cross-hole.
  • STEP3. Work the brush back and forth while rotating the tool.
  • STEP4. Pull the tool out while not in motion.

The above rotational speed is merely the minimum number of times needed. The actual effectiveness of burr removal will depend on the burr size and workpiece material.
Hence, it may require a rotational speed higher than the above.

Precaution In Use

  • * Please use the tool size corresponding with the diameter of the targeted hole. The wrong size tool can cause breakage of the brush fiber rods and shaft along with deformation and/or damage.
  • * Please be sure to insert the tool tip into the cylinder before beginning rotation of the spindle. Otherwise, the bristles may be damaged or scatter dangerously.

[Pre-processing Inspection]

  • When the tool is machine-mounted, insert the shank end all the way to the bottom of the chuck, and secure it tightly.
  • If you find anything unusual such as vibration during tool operation, stop immediately; or hazardous breakage, deformation, or damage to the bristles and/or shaft may result.

[Maximum Speed]

  • The maximum number of rotations is 12,000min-1. Usage above the maximum recommended rotations may result in breakage of the tool.

[Machines it Can be Used With]

  • Over 8,000min-1 rotation machining center (CH-A12-1.5M is over 10,000min-1)
  • Electric handgrinder that can adjust the rotation speed.
  • * Also, non-rotatable lathes and pneumatic tools that cannot adjust the rotation speed cannot be used.

[Target Burr Size]

  • This tool is designed for removal of fine burrs where the base thickness is 0.1 mm or less after machining.

[Target Hole Diameter]

  • When the aperture ratio of the secondary hole's diameter to the primary hole's diameter is more than 50% (e.g.: Primary hole Φ20, Secondary hole Φ15), depending on the shape of the hole, there may be damage to the brush. Please make sure that breakage does not happen by performing an initial test while paying attention to the movement of the brush tip.

Operation Safety Measure

[For protective Equipment]

  • Always wear protective goggles, gloves and masks when oparating the tool. Wear long sleeves, tight cuff, and clothing to minimize skin exposure.

[Pre- operation inspection]

  • When mounting on machines, insert the shank end all the way to the bottom of the chuck, and secure it tightly.
    Stop the tool immediately if you find anything unusual such as vibration; dangerous head or shaft breakage, deformation or even tool breakdown may occur.

[Beware of Grinding Powder]

  • Grinding powder and burrs may scatter within an area around the work as the tools revolve; please stay clear of this area.
    When using on high-precision equipment, the abrasive powder may adversely affect the sliding parts, so please be sure to collect any dust and keep clean the equipment.

[Caution to your surroundings]

  • The area around your work is hazardous in case flying pieces of fiber rods from the tools and grinding powder may scatter, enclose your working area to prevent other people entering, or have the people surrounding your work area protective equipment as well.
